Mac Lipstick Angel

As we are in the midst of our summer, now is the time when we whip out our 'pretty in pink' lipsticks and blushes. Recently this lipstick- Angel, has been my absolute staple.
It is in the classic Mac bullet packaging, which is a personal favourite of mine and costs £15.
It is the perfect balance of a soft pink and a subtle nude, as you can tell when it is on your lips but it is not too bold. It glides over the bumbs of your lips making them look seamless.
Mac has yet to fail me! If your looking for the perfect summer lipstick look no further.

Collection Deluxe Lipstick - Tallulah

Yet another pink lipstick that is being blogged about and the return of the pink background! This is the Collection Deluxe Lipstick in the shade Tallulah and it is £3.99.
Tallulah is a light pink, a mid toned pastel which i thought would be perfect for spring/summer casual 'pretty in pink'-esque look, although i might be inclined to class this as a nude as-well. The packaging i am not a big fan of as the main packaging after a while goes a rusty dark color but that is forgivable as the product is utterly fabulous.
It has a moisturizing non slip texture which sits perfectly on the lips even if they are slightly chapped (possibly too many days out in the sun). It lasts for at least 2 hours before it starts to properly fade. Not the most long lasting lipstick in my collection.
One swish of this over your lips gives an instant color pay off which has to be one of the best things about this product!

Natural Collection Blush - Pink Cloud

When i think of Natural Collection i think of girls buying their first bit of make up. I haven't really given it the credit it deserves. I recently bought this blush from Natural Collection in the shade 'Pink Cloud'. It seemed liked the perfect natural pink colour, without going too harsh. It was £1.99 which is a really good price.
Whenever i buy Natural Collection products the product always seems to fall out the packaging, is that a common problem? Its not a huge hindrance it is just a bit annoying when it keeps falling out every time i pick it up.

The colour pay off from this blush is fair, it is amazing if you want a really natural pink cheek. However if you were going to go for the bolder blush look, i don't think this is for you.
Length wise, it stays on mostly all day. Although the consistency is quite powdery and looks it if you build up the blush.
I really like this blush especially as we are getting into spring/summer because i can easily achieve that effortless glowy look for summer!

Collection Colour Pro Lip Lacquer

Lets just sit here and admire the packaging of colour of this product by Collection. This was £4.19 ( to be precise) and it is in the shade Prom Queen, love the shade name, very cute.

Lets get into the product itself shall we?
As this is a Lip Lacquer i was expecting it to be thick, luscious and long lasting. Well it certainly is thick, it is super thick that you need the tiniest amount to cover your lips. I warn you, if you put any more than a small blob on your lips, it may look like a make up disaster.
Also it is very sticky, your mortal enemy on a windy day.

It has a nice long doe-foot applicator which is definitely one of the pros, also it is very flexible, which means it can get into those tiny corners of your mouth.
From the swatch below you can also see the colour is beautiful and I just wish the product was not so sticky.

Have you tried this product? What do you think?

Sleek Matte Me Lip-Cream - Petal

This product *composes myself* is a holy grail product. I am very very excited over this product! This is the Sleek Matte Me Lip-Cream in Petal (£4.99), as Valentines day is coming up and all i thought this would be a great lip product to wear. As it is a light pale pink, very romantic!

I was putting this on my lips, as you do, and completely feel head over heels in love with this product.
Also the packaging is very nice as well .... very sleek (Oh god i am turning into my mother).
Ok, so you need to apply a minimal amount of this product otherwise it builds up too much and doesn't have the amazing-ness. It is applied with a soft doe foot applicator, which is pretty bog standard.
It stays on for absolutely ages, if it does dry out my lips i just pop some lip balm over it and it works a trick. I am most certainly going to get a lot of use out of this.
Have you ever tried this?

Mac Cremesheen Lipstick - Speak Louder

Another month coming very close to its end! Lets not go over how fast it has been (though it has been fast), however my most worn lipstick this month had to be this one. It is the Mac CremeSheen Lipstick in the shade 'Speak Louder'.
I have never had a Mac lipstick before but coveted them so much! My sister knew this and bought me this for Christmas. I was over the moon with this present-as anyone would be!

The packaging is the well-known Mac 'bullet style' packaging and there is no fault here at all.
Have any of you ever smelled a Mac Lipstick? I have and even the scent is amazing, it smells almost like sweet play dough? Don't know how i came to that analogy but there you go.
The texture is very soft and creamy hence the 'cremesheen lipstick' and it has tons of pigment in. Some days to just tone the lipstick down i dab this on my lips and also apply a nude lipstick over the top. It is a very long lasting lipstick, which inevitably wears away when you eat, so i would recommend keeping it in your bag in case you need to re-apply.
Overall this is one of the best lipsticks i own! Have you ever owned a Mac Lipstick? What did you think?

Stila Eyeshadow - Kitten

Yet another apology for my rubbish post schedule these 2 weeks, i have been so busy writing my series that i forgot about the present posts! My series comes out on 14.12.13!

This has to be one of the most beautiful eye-shadows I own!
It is from Stila, a relatively new brand to me as it has not been a raved brand. However it is a rather big brand with a lot of products in it. When i bought this eye shadow i was 'hmming and arring' whether to get a palette or the single shadows. I opted for the single shadow's and they are beautiful. It is around £12.50 , if i remember correctly.

This is shade 'Kitten' which is such a gentle name for such a light, sweet shade.
It is a light pink with quite a hefty amount of shimmer in it.
The packaging is beautiful, very sleek and very sturdy.

The colour pay off is great too, it is utterly filled with pigment. The shimmer really give's it the edge to other neutral shades out there as it is so beautiful.
It lasts all day for me without creasing, no primer necessary.

In this review i feel like i have been drooling over this product way too much, although it is much needed and worth it.

Max Factor Max Effect Lip-Gloss

A little announcement before i commence with this post and it is that i am going to be doing a 12 days of Christmas (Blogmas). So a 12 day countdown until Christmas, with a different post everyday on a range of topics. I have already mentioned this on my twitter @CrushingOnPink so some of you may know.

Anyway so that is my ramble out the way. Today i am reviewing Max Factor Max Effect Lipgloss in Diva Pink. You can buy these for £4.99 at Boots, which is average price for a Lip Gloss.
The packaging is standard lip-gloss packaging, a squeezy tube. Nothing too special here.
Anyway the product itself is quite sticky, never wear your hair down with this otherwise it will be  hair-lip disaster.
The thing i do like about this is that it has fair amount of pigmentation for a lip-gloss, without being too bold. So if you were going for a day with minimal make-up this could possibly be the lip-gloss to reach for.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo -Pink Gold 65

This is very exciting for me, not only because it is the first of December  (chocolate!) but also because this is my first Maybelline Colour Tattoo.
I got the shade Pink Gold-65 and it was £4.99.
The packaging feels amazing and very hardy, however i wouldn't want to drop it as it is made of glass.
This is a champagne colour with a bit of shimmer, so very spectacular.
The good thing about these it that you don't need to use a brush to apply it, you just spread it over your lid with your finger.
It lived up to what everyone said and stayed on all day! I even went swimming and it was still on. I cannot explain how long lasting it it - its that good. I cannot believe i haven't tried this before, but now I have i will have to hoard some more of them.

Collection Lock 'n' Hold Lipgloss

Stumbling along in Boots I saw this lip-gloss and thought it was just super cute. I know it's not the most wintery of colours, but i just knew a lot of you will love it! Also it is pink...so how could I resist?
So this is from Collection and it is £2.99
So as i said before this packaging is really cute and feels very smooth and sleek. It has a very flexible doe foot applicator, which is soft.
So this is quite a sheer lip gloss but it will look lovely over lipstick or just on its own!
It is a bit sticky so i only wear this with my hair up, however it does last a good 5-6 hours as it claims.

MUA Lipstick Shade 8

Believe it or not i have never owned a MUA lipstick before, so i thought i needed to pick up a couple (more lipsticks coming soon). The first one that caught my eye was this lipstick in Shade 6. You can buy this lipstick at Superdrug for £1.

First of all the packaging is OK, some times when you twist the top the lipstick won't come out but usually it will. It looks very good for such a cheap product, very sleek.
The colour is very strong and pigmented, amazingly pigmented for a £1 lipstick. It applies very nicely not drying at all however i smudges quite easily, so wouldn't recommend eating straight after applying this.
The above picture is a swatch, as you can see it is quite a deep shimmery pink which i think is lovely and would suit a wide range of skin tones.
This is what it looks like on my lips.

Have you tried a MUA lipstick before? What did you think?

Maybelline Baby Lips!

This product has been reviewed and raved about it the beauty community, so obviously i had to try it! It is £2.99 at Boots here, but i got this for 2.99 euros as i am on holiday. A great bargain for me!
The flavour/colour i bought was Pink Punch (as it was pink!), one great thing about this product is that it has a flavour so doesn't taste horrible in the mouth! The packaging is super cute (they have other colours as well) and it seems pretty durable.
On this lips is seems very creamy and moisturising while adding colour. When looking it the mirror it honestly looks like a lip gloss, but on the lips it is so soft and moisturising.
The colour is long lasting, i think you would only need to touch up once in a day.
I think the only let down for me is that when i think of 'Baby Lips' i think of a super light natural colour. I feel like i did not get it with this product as it is quite pigmented, but don't get me wrong i love it now, though initially i was disappointed.
This is a picture of it on my lips, bear in mind this is a very thin layer! You definitely can get a MUCH bolder colour than this.

Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick- English Rose

This has to be one of my all time favourite lipsticks! It is a beautiful bright colour and from one of my favourite brands. I have never actually been a 'lip person' but suddenly i have had this urge to buy lipsticks, when i saw this one in the airport i knew i had to have it.
I bought this product  for £7.99 and you can buy it here from boots.

First thing about this product is that it has very pretty packaging, very sleek and looks expensive.

This is what Max Factor says: Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick with Max factor’s breakthrough Elixir Moisturising Complex that give visibly moisturised lips and gorgeous looking colour.
I have to say i really agree with what they are saying, it moisturises and glides on my lips perfectly. Its pigmented very well and last all day
The colour i have chosen is a darker shade of pink, all the colours have a slight shimmer and shine to them as well.

Overall i would definitely recommend this product and will be purchasing more colours in the future.
Ps. I hope you like the different backgrounds in my pictures, as i said i am on holiday.

May Favourites!

I know i am a tad late on doing this but i have some amazing products that i have loved this month so i really wanted to share them with you! (Also i have a cheeky book in my favourites assortment aswell)

1. Hoola Bronzer - £23.00
As some of you may know, who live in England, there has been spurts of sun throughout the month of May. Unfortunately i was not lucky enough to get that sunkissed look on my face, but this bronzer definitely made it look like i did. I just gently brushed this over my cheekbones and forhead giving me that beautiful sunkissed look. Obviously you can build it up, but whenever i attempted to build it, it looked like someone had smeared mud on my face?!

2. Clinique Chubby Stick - Mega melon - £16
I have nearly used this up as i have been wearing it everyday this month! I love it, it's moisturising with long lasting colour. I am very fussy what i put on my lips, it has to be moisturising or i don't like it, so this was wonderfully moisturising. Definitely going to repurchase this product.

3.Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks - Pale Pink - £18.00
Again, great shade for summer/spring as it adds light colour to your lips and cheeks! I love to pair this with my Rimmel nude lipstick, it just makes my lips look naturally pink and pretty. On my cheeks i only apply a little on the apples of my cheeks to give me a healthy glow.

4. Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. £8.99
I have done a review on this, so don't need to go into too much detail why i love it! Just it is amazing in sunlight, a light foundation. Also its gives a sparkly effect making you glow in the light!

5. Chocolate Wishes - Trina Ashley £6.99
My last item is a book this is such a fun easy read! Perfect for the holidays in the sun, where you do nothing but lie on a deck chair all day! Sadly this holiday i have been revising for exams, but when i wasn't this took my mind off everything, just great fun! If you love girly romantic/comedy type books, pop into tesco or local bookshop and purchase this!
