Collection Colour Pro Lip Lacquer

Lets just sit here and admire the packaging of colour of this product by Collection. This was £4.19 ( to be precise) and it is in the shade Prom Queen, love the shade name, very cute.

Lets get into the product itself shall we?
As this is a Lip Lacquer i was expecting it to be thick, luscious and long lasting. Well it certainly is thick, it is super thick that you need the tiniest amount to cover your lips. I warn you, if you put any more than a small blob on your lips, it may look like a make up disaster.
Also it is very sticky, your mortal enemy on a windy day.

It has a nice long doe-foot applicator which is definitely one of the pros, also it is very flexible, which means it can get into those tiny corners of your mouth.
From the swatch below you can also see the colour is beautiful and I just wish the product was not so sticky.

Have you tried this product? What do you think?

Rimmel Colour Rush Balm

Recently all the drug store brands have released 'chubby stick'-esque products to their lines. I have had a Clinique Chubby stick and loved it to much, so i picked out one from Rimmel and it was £6.99.
It doesn't say what colour it is on the packaging, which i think is odd especially if there are multiple shades.
Not going to lie, i was surprised how good this product was for such a good price. It is very balmy and has loads of pigment in it, so you can build up a lot of colour! There is also a ton of product in this which you can reach by using the twisty cap.

Here are 2 swatches of the product. It is a deep pink/nude/red, very confusing i know! I really like the colour and feel it suits a very natural look.
So i recommend this product, it is a lot cheaper that the actual Clinique Chubby Stick. There aren't as many colours but very similar formula's i feel like.

MUA Lipstick Shade 8. #11Daystogo!

11 days to go, gosh the excitement is building. Anyway today i have a lovely little Christmas Lipstick for you today.
MUA Lipstick shade 8, it is a sparkly berry red.
For £1, this is an absolute bargain especially if your never going to wear a lipstick like this again other than Christmas.
It is quite a deep berry red as i have mentioned so i would say this went with the lighter skin tones.
As for texture, when you apply on your lips it does feel a bit gritty; the sparkly bits explain that. So what has worked best for me is to put a clear lip-balm on before this Lipstick. Therefore you get a less gritty feeling and a more shiny appearance.
This is a lipstick you will need to re-apply but for £1 this is obviously expected.

It is a rather beautiful colour, so i recommend getting it quickly before they all run out. Which has happened in my local store numerous of times.

Max Factor Max Effect Lip-Gloss

A little announcement before i commence with this post and it is that i am going to be doing a 12 days of Christmas (Blogmas). So a 12 day countdown until Christmas, with a different post everyday on a range of topics. I have already mentioned this on my twitter @CrushingOnPink so some of you may know.

Anyway so that is my ramble out the way. Today i am reviewing Max Factor Max Effect Lipgloss in Diva Pink. You can buy these for £4.99 at Boots, which is average price for a Lip Gloss.
The packaging is standard lip-gloss packaging, a squeezy tube. Nothing too special here.
Anyway the product itself is quite sticky, never wear your hair down with this otherwise it will be  hair-lip disaster.
The thing i do like about this is that it has fair amount of pigmentation for a lip-gloss, without being too bold. So if you were going for a day with minimal make-up this could possibly be the lip-gloss to reach for.

Collection Lock 'n' Hold Lipgloss

Stumbling along in Boots I saw this lip-gloss and thought it was just super cute. I know it's not the most wintery of colours, but i just knew a lot of you will love it! Also it is pink...so how could I resist?
So this is from Collection and it is £2.99
So as i said before this packaging is really cute and feels very smooth and sleek. It has a very flexible doe foot applicator, which is soft.
So this is quite a sheer lip gloss but it will look lovely over lipstick or just on its own!
It is a bit sticky so i only wear this with my hair up, however it does last a good 5-6 hours as it claims.

Revlon Lip Butter- Crème Brulee

So I have bought yet another Lip product *slaps on wrist* but I think I am just too obsessed. A healthy obsession of course..
This is the Revlon Lip Butter in Crème Brulee, a beautiful nude shade. They are £7.99 from Boots.

I am not a huge fan of the packaging, however it is sturdy and won't break.

This is a shimmery transparent nude, which leaves a little sparkle on your lips. You need swish it over your lips a couple of times to get a lot of pigmentation, although i think it does look better more transparent than opaque.
It feels buttery and smooth on the lips like it claims. I have definitely fallen in love with the lip butters.
The swatch above has been applied more than the swatch below.

Overall i love this product! Would recommend it to anyone!

MUA Lipstick shade 13

November is here everyone! Now is the time i really start celebrating Christmas- Christmas songs, buying presents, decorations and all that. So i though i would start this month with a colour relevant to Christmas- Red.

This is an MUA lipstick, it is Shade 13 and it is £1.
The packaging is quite sleek, however the lipstick is sometimes hard to get out!
This is such a bold colour, actually the boldest i own. The pigment is amazing in this, especially for £1.
However it does smudge quite considerable, so i wouldn't eat too much while wearing this. As once it has smudged it is an absolute bugger (pardon the french) to get off!.
This is a swatch of the lipstick!

Overall this is an OK product, i probably would not repurchase this colour.

MUA Lipstick Shade 8

Believe it or not i have never owned a MUA lipstick before, so i thought i needed to pick up a couple (more lipsticks coming soon). The first one that caught my eye was this lipstick in Shade 6. You can buy this lipstick at Superdrug for £1.

First of all the packaging is OK, some times when you twist the top the lipstick won't come out but usually it will. It looks very good for such a cheap product, very sleek.
The colour is very strong and pigmented, amazingly pigmented for a £1 lipstick. It applies very nicely not drying at all however i smudges quite easily, so wouldn't recommend eating straight after applying this.
The above picture is a swatch, as you can see it is quite a deep shimmery pink which i think is lovely and would suit a wide range of skin tones.
This is what it looks like on my lips.

Have you tried a MUA lipstick before? What did you think?

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick- Nude Delight

I have had this lipstick for ages and i have had a love hate relationship with it.
Some days i just don't think it suits me and then other i love it, for the moment I love it!

This retails £6.49 and i believe it is worth it.
The packaging is simple sleek and good, not beautiful but not awful.
It is a lovely moisturising lipstick that glides on to your lips smoothly and gives your lips a nice shine. It last 4-5 hours with no messing, so it is a pretty long wear time, you could make it even longer if you add a lip liner with it!

It looks quite pinky on my lips- where as it is have more of an orange tone to it (like the swatch above)

Overall i would highly reccomend this Lipstick and another other shade in this line!

Vivo Laquer Shine Heavenly

 Another perfect Autumn/Winter lip colour!

This Lip Gloss is from Vivo and in the shade 'Heavenly' and i adore it. It retails for £1.99.

It is not super sticky, but just as a normal lip gloss does, it will stick to your hair.
The consistency feels thick and really smooth on the lips. The colour lasts for around 2-3 hours without messing with it, so it is definitely product which needs to be re-applied.
It has a nice applicator, which makes it very easy for you get to your lip corners.
Also the packaging is very sleek, but it does make it look cheap.
In a nutshell it is a wonderful product for £1.99!

Tip: If you pair this with Revlon Lip Butter in Macaroon it is amazing!

Revlon Lip Butter- 096 Macaroon

I have been hiding this is my 'beauty drawer' all summer, but when September arrived (finally) this is the lipstick i was most looking forward to wearing. This is my absolutely favourite Autumn/Winter Lipstick.

I have to say the packaging of all the Revlon Lip Butters are not impressive for a £7.99 Lipstick, but they are 'alright'.

This lipstick is a deep pink/red and is brilliant with a fair skin tone as a bold red can sometimes pale you out.
I love the texture of this as it is so smooth and moisturising, i love that is does not dry out my lips. Though i have heard that it is hit and miss depending on which colour you get.
It has a gentle shimmer, nothing too bold. The wear would be around 3-4 hours, which is fine for me as i love re-applying lipstick anyway.

It gives a wonderfully glossy finish, so no need to wear lip gloss, unless you want to.
I just love it!

What is your perfect winter lipstick?

August Favourites!

This month has been a great month for me and it went by so quickly! We are getting close to winter/autumn time now, so i thought i would share my favourites this month. Alot of these have been reviewed so i will link them in this blog!

First is this Simple 'Kind to eyes' make up remover. I love this so much, it is very inexpensive and it gets the job done. I don't use this on the rest of my face, i don't recommend that either, but for just eyes it works wonders.

I love smelling nice but don't like to spend alot, so this Natural Collection Vanilla Body Spray was the answer! I also have the Lemon&Lime and Mango&Papaya but this is my favourite. It is so sweet and it just makes you smell super yummy!
How could i not include the Baby Lips from Maybelline? In a nutshell they are cheap, moisturising and well pigmented. My review explains more -link-.

Another lip product i have mentioned before is the Max Factor Elixir Lipstick in English Rose. It is a beautiful colour and lasts all day! My review explains more-link-.
I have been wearing this nearly all month Liz Earle Sheer skin tint and it is such a lovely tinted moisturiser. On holiday or in the sun you don't want to put to much on your face just something light so this is perfect!
My review explains more-link-.

I bought this nail polish a couple weeks ago and been wearing it ever since (i am a sucker for pink!)! It is 025 Strawberry Fix by Rimmel, its last really well and has a nice consistency. I had not even realised this, but it has a scent which smell really fruity :).

Last but not least is this moisturiser from Garnier, it is the 7 day hydrate in Mango! All i can say is that it makes my legs feel AMAZING when i put it on, really soft! For me the flavour/smell doesn't do anything i feel that they are all the same?
What are your favourites this month?

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer Phenomenon 100

The Rimmel Apocalips Lips Lacquer has been reviewed by bloggers and talked about so much so i thought i would get it, also as i have mentioned i have had a bit of a lip gloss/stick/stain/lacquer urge.
It is £6.49 at Boots -link-.
The  packaging of this product is beautiful, it has to be one of my favourite all time packaging! I like how you can see the colour at the bottom, just overall pretty.
It has a doe foot applicator, like most lip glosses, which is bendy and glides on the lips nicely.

One thing i hate about the product is the taste and the smell when you first apply it, it is awful! After a while it goes but not very nice to begin with!

On the plus side it is very pigmented and is not sticky! You would need to re-apply during the day for that glossy look.
Overall a great product apart from the taste/smell!
What do you think of the Rimmel Apocalips Lips?
