Clinique Facial Soap

Summer has officially ended in England *looks sadly out the window*, yet i still want my skin to glow!
This facial soap was basically a impulse purchase ( I mean what don't I buy on an impulse?) for £11.50,and I have come to believe that if you keep your skincare routine simple and not too fussy your skin will find its natural glow.
I use this morning and night, at night when I take my makeup off. I love it. I am not a regular user of Clinique but I have great things about the brand.
This my friends, is da bomb. Seriously I mean not many people think of using something so simple, I barely see any soaps in skincare routines, there needs to be more.
This has most definitely found a firm place in my beauty drawer.

MUA Bronzer Shade 2

I have yet another MUA product for you lovelies today, it is the MUA Bronzer Shade 2 - so not the lightest bronzer and it is £1.

The packaging itself is not that bad...however it does look a bit cheap and tacky. It does not break easily which is great if i am keeping it in my bag, so i have not worries of it bronzing the things in my bag.
It is quite a dark bronzer for my skin tone but a light swish over the cheeks works well for me. It makes me look less like a sheet of paper and gives me a nice glow. Although i wouldn't recommend this for contouring as it is quite a muddy colour and won't make you look right.
As you can see from the swatch below there is a lot of pigmentation in this. Perfect if your just getting into Make Up or on a tight budget.
Overall if push came to shove, i would choose my Benefit Hoola Bronzer but this is a very good bronzer in comparison.

MUA Lipstick Shade 8

Believe it or not i have never owned a MUA lipstick before, so i thought i needed to pick up a couple (more lipsticks coming soon). The first one that caught my eye was this lipstick in Shade 6. You can buy this lipstick at Superdrug for £1.

First of all the packaging is OK, some times when you twist the top the lipstick won't come out but usually it will. It looks very good for such a cheap product, very sleek.
The colour is very strong and pigmented, amazingly pigmented for a £1 lipstick. It applies very nicely not drying at all however i smudges quite easily, so wouldn't recommend eating straight after applying this.
The above picture is a swatch, as you can see it is quite a deep shimmery pink which i think is lovely and would suit a wide range of skin tones.
This is what it looks like on my lips.

Have you tried a MUA lipstick before? What did you think?

Revlon ColourStay Foundation

This little product was from a recent Boots browse, you honestly must think i shop no where else... however i have ordered a couple things from Superdrug this week. Anyway i originally ordered the No7 Matte foundation but this came in the post, so i thought i would try it anyway.

I was pleasantly surprised, as with most (basically all) of the products i have reviewed on this blog has been mentioned by some other bloggers, where-as this has been mentioned by everyone. Even my friends, which is some sort of revelation as they never want to talk about make-up.

This is the Revlon Colour- Stay foundation in shade Buff 150, it is usually £12.49 from Boots. There are two versions of this, i have got the oilier skin type version.

To start with the packaging is OK, however i hate how there is no pump! I end up pouring out too much on to my hand (as i am awful with measurements) and wasting it!
The foundation itself is lovely, it is very smooth and looks flawless on the face. I have found the best way to apply it is with a brush (Real Techniques expert face brush).
Throughout the day it seems to wear very well, however if you do have one or two spots i recommend wearing a concealer as-well because they will start to show nearing the end of the day.
I do wear concealer under my eye as it will not cover those, however my under eye circles are very dark so i would not hold it against this foundation.
The oil control is better than most foundations, though i did need to apply powder to my face.
Overall this is a lovely foundation, it didn't break me out and makes me look lovely in pictures! What more can i ask for?
This is a definite recommendation from me!

August Favourites!

This month has been a great month for me and it went by so quickly! We are getting close to winter/autumn time now, so i thought i would share my favourites this month. Alot of these have been reviewed so i will link them in this blog!

First is this Simple 'Kind to eyes' make up remover. I love this so much, it is very inexpensive and it gets the job done. I don't use this on the rest of my face, i don't recommend that either, but for just eyes it works wonders.

I love smelling nice but don't like to spend alot, so this Natural Collection Vanilla Body Spray was the answer! I also have the Lemon&Lime and Mango&Papaya but this is my favourite. It is so sweet and it just makes you smell super yummy!
How could i not include the Baby Lips from Maybelline? In a nutshell they are cheap, moisturising and well pigmented. My review explains more -link-.

Another lip product i have mentioned before is the Max Factor Elixir Lipstick in English Rose. It is a beautiful colour and lasts all day! My review explains more-link-.
I have been wearing this nearly all month Liz Earle Sheer skin tint and it is such a lovely tinted moisturiser. On holiday or in the sun you don't want to put to much on your face just something light so this is perfect!
My review explains more-link-.

I bought this nail polish a couple weeks ago and been wearing it ever since (i am a sucker for pink!)! It is 025 Strawberry Fix by Rimmel, its last really well and has a nice consistency. I had not even realised this, but it has a scent which smell really fruity :).

Last but not least is this moisturiser from Garnier, it is the 7 day hydrate in Mango! All i can say is that it makes my legs feel AMAZING when i put it on, really soft! For me the flavour/smell doesn't do anything i feel that they are all the same?
What are your favourites this month?

Back to School Make Up Basics

Depending where you live you may be at School already or going to start soon. I am going back in September so i thought i would do a 'Back to Basics' Make-up for school. Some of you may be you teens just starting out or you just love reading posts like this- which ever i hope this helps.

Also there are alot of video/posts out there which don't offer the right price range, young teens generally cannot spend tons (eg £36.00 on a foundation is NOT happening), so i have put some very cheap products here for you!

For foundation i have 2 which are absolutely amazing the Rimmel Wake Me Up  foundation, this retails for around £8 at Boots. I love this as it is medium coverage (great for spots) and give a light shine which makes you look fresh and awake. I also have the Benefit Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation which retails around £20, i have put this in here as i think this is not too expensive if it works.

If you have oily skin, a powder is a necessity. So i have this MUA pressed powder for £1, great value and stops you looking shiny. If you don't need powder, don't buy it but it is a nice touch as well.

I have 2 concealers here, Rimmel Hide The Blemish concealer and Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. One is a doe foot applicator and the other is a stick, so which ever you think works best for you you can decide. The give the same coverage and both retail around £4-£5.

For blush i really like Natural Collection Peach Melba (£1.99 at boots), it gives a lovely bit of colour without being too over the top for school.

For bronzer i like this duo from Miss Sporty Ohh So Tan! It has a highlighter and a bronzer which have both good pay offs. It is  £2.99 at boots.

If you do want to wear eye shadow i recommend this MUA Heaven & Earth Palette, it has such lovely colours for a subtle eye.

I have 2 Collection mascaras Collection pump up the volume (£3.99) and Collection Super Size (£2.19), these are both great mascara's and do their job. I recommend collection if you are just starting out with Make Up.
For lips i have Maybelline Baby Lips, Clinique Chubby stick in Mega Melon and a Flormor Lipstick in shade 202. These are all slightly different colours for different skin types but natural.

That is it for my 'Back to Basics' School version! Comment below about anything you love!

Suncream!

When i think of sun-cream i think beach, holiday's and sun! Also when your on holiday or its hot you need suncream, it is basically an essential. So i am going to share with you all the suncreams i have been using this holiday and that worked!
All the sun creams i have been using.
Lets start with my face, i have been using this Clarins Sun Control Stick SPF 30, i have loved this. This is very easy application for my 'prone to burn areas'. I have been using this a lot when i have been sailing so it great for being out at sea! It is £16.00 and you can buy it from here.

Also on my face i have been using Dermologica Oil free matte face suncream. It is a great suncream and doesn't break me out at all, a very big plus! This is around the £35 mark and you can get it from here.
On of my friend actually gave it to me as a recommendation, it is a good suncream but i would not purchase this as it is too expensive and there are cheaper alternatives.
For my lips i have been using this Nivea SPF 30 lip balm and i love it! It is very moisturising and leaves my lips feeling very smooth and soft, what a lip balm should do. This is £3.29 and you can buy it here!
For my hair and scalp i have been using this Sole Mare thing?! I actually don't really know much about it as the lady at the counter said it would stop you from burning. What i have to say about this is that it makes your hair look a bit oily.

For my body i have been using the Nivea Invisible Protect SPF 30 as it so easy to apply and NOT sticky. I absolutely hate the cream suncreams that leave a sticky residue behind and this doesn't! This is £11 and you can buy it here. Basically i love most of Nivea's product!
Finally is this Jason brand of sun cream, this was new to me as i had found it in WholeFoods and the lady was so in love with the product she sold it to me. Basically this is as natural as you can get with suncream and i LOVE it! This is normally £11.00 buy you can get it for £6.00 Here!!

So those are all the suncream i have been using! Comment below if you have any recommendations for me!

Soap&Glory SuperCat Eyeliner Review!

Doesn't everyone want to find that perfect eyeliner? One that is easy to apply while making you look fabulous? Well i think i found it?!
So this post is about the Soap&Glory Super cat eye-liner!
This product is £6, some of you may argue it is a bit expensive but it is worth it!

First of all, it is like a marker pen so great for you first timers to liquid eye Liners!
Also it applies nice and easily and lasts all day, i did the 'full day' test today as i went cycling and all sorts of fun activities and it stayed on with a bit of 'wear and tear round the edges'.
Correct if i am wrong but i feel as if this eyeliner has not been talked about much with the beauty community, which i hope will change because it really is a fabulous product.
I have never really tried Soap&Glory as a make up brand, but do want to try a few more products of that line.
Over all i give this 5* out of 5!

Clear Skin #1: Boots Foaming Face Wash

So lately i have been tackling with spotty skin, so i thought i would start a series in which i can write reviews about the products i have tested. Everyone has those small annoying breakouts, whether its 'the time of the month' or just because your a teenager like myself.

So the first product in this series is the Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel face foaming wash, which was £3.59. So generally quite a cheap product for a 150ml bottle.
I am very pleased with this product, as it is very gentle on my skin. No one wants a face wash that makes your face sore! It cleaned my face, getting off those bits of makeup i was too lazy to do myself. It reduced my breakout a lot by the next morning, so my face wasn't a huge mess.
I have to add the whole foam thing is rather fun!
It is an easy lather and foams up beautifully!
I can definitely say a 5/5 for me from my clear skin series.

Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation!

I have to say before i bought this, i had heard so much about it. "Its fabulous, makes you look amazing etc". So i went into Superdrug the other day on the hunt for a new foundation, when i remembered the Wake Me Up foundation. Don't get me wrong i love Rimmel, it is one of my favourite Make Up brands, however i was very disapointed with their 25 hour foundation as i found it had an orangy base. I mean no one wants to look like a tangerine?! So i was a bit hesitant to pay £8.99 for their Wake Me Up but i am very glad i did!
It makes you look dewy, but not oily, as i do have oily skin and didn't want a foundation that would make it worse but it didn't. If you are extremely worried about this put a bit of powder on your oily bits. It has a slight shimmer which looks amazing in sunlight as it literally makes you glow. Finally, It has great coverage, i would say it has a medium coverage. So it doesn't give you complete full coverage but nothing a good concealer can't fix. If you want to get that shimmery glow but lighter coverage i reccomend pairing it with a moisturiser, which also looks lovely.
So overall i have to say this foundation is perfect for summer!
