Feelin' Dandy Benefit Lip&Cheek kit

2 days away until New Year, this is actually insane. A couple days ago it was Christmas and now.... BAM its New year. Gosh, alot of parties and celebrations in a very short amount of time.
I have not done a 'What i got for Christmas' haul/post because i don't really see the point of the posts. You never know next year i might do one, but this year i didn't really see the point. So don't get too mad!

One of my relatives bought me this little package of beauty as an early Christmas present this year, i got a bit too excited. What more could a blogger want 4 products in one box?
The packaging is beautiful and compact, it has a magnetic lid which is handy for easy opening.
Inside the kit you get; Posie Tint lip and cheek stain, High beam Highlighter, Dandelion Blush and Ultra plush Dandelion Lip Gloss.
The posie tint adds such a pop of colour, it almost like a bubblegum pink. As it is such a bright colour, it has worked best for me under my foundation when wearing it on my cheeks. On my lips however, i don't particularly like the feel of it, definitely not something i would personally use on my lips. Though when applied lightly it does give a light barbie-equse pink.

High beam is a product i already own and love, so this would be a nice travel essential. I use this on my cheekbones and sometimes my cupids bow. It has a light shimmer and gives your cheeks an amazing highlighted look.

Dandelion Blush is yet another new product. It is a dusty pink with some shimmer, This works over your foundation or to wear it alone. It gives a subtle colour to your cheeks with some shimmer. This would be a great start for beginners is make up, and a great staple for the more experienced.

Dandelion ultra Plush lip gloss is a very neutral lip gloss. It does not stick my lips together, always a good sign. It can give a bit more colour when you apply quite hard, otherwise it is a very neutral gloss.

Well that was alot of information in one post! I hope you have a fabulous new year and make lots of resolutions!

Sleek Celestial Palette #5DaysToGo

There is actually only 5 days to go, cannot even believe it. Anyway this must be the season of new things as yesterday i reviewed a new brand to me and again today!

This is the Sleek Celestial Limited edition palette and it is very beautiful!
This is a beautiful palette, with a very good pay off! I would recommend using primer first, so there is no fall out.
It is so lovely and so Sleek (laugh, no? ok).
Sorry for a quick review, i have had quite a lot on today. Christmas rush is finally getting to me.

NYC Top of the Gold Nail Polish #6DaysToGo

6 days to go (including today)! Today i have yet another Nail polish, amazingly well planned by me; this actually goes with the Barry M Bright Red Nail Polish! Talk about being planned.

This is by NYC, i had never actually used any NYC products before this one. Hence i needed to try this as it is very fitting with my series.
This is Top Of The Gold and it is £1.99.

It does have quite a wide brush, the  coat is usually done in about 3-4 swipes which makes it perfect to use when you don't have so much time. Drying time is not that bad i think, as i usually have paranoia about touching anything when i have nail polish on.
How much glitter it actually puts on your nail is amazing, honestly for such a cheap nail polish.
This would be a lovely coat over a red nail polish to create that extra festive look.

Christmas Essentials #8DaysToGo

8 Days until Christmas, now to the 24th of December is when those last minute shoppers rush around all the stores, pushing everyone out the way to get their choice.
Anway i am writng my Christmas Essentials, these are my personal opinion but if you have any different comment below and tell me!

First is this Jenny Colgan book, Christmas at the Cupcake Cafe. To be fair i did read this late November and fell in love with it. It you are into all that lovey-dovey thing this is so a book for you.
A onsie, at home i wear nothing else. They are so comfy, it is a bit of effort to pee as you have to unzip it all and you are naked on the loo. Aside from that these are great, definitely a recommendation from me. This particular one is from New Look and is super comfy.

The Red dress, Christmas is the only occasion where you can wear the same red dress to everything and no one cares. Atrocious i know, but it is an all round wearable dress. This is another one from New Look and is definitely great. Also is comes with a jewelled collar, so no need for a necklace. Genius.
Last but certainly not least is the Cadbury's Hot Chocolate, this is my evening saviour in Winter. However you cannot forget the marshmallows otherwise it just isn't as good.

Those are all my winter essentials, what are yours?

5. Do You Open Your Present Christmas Eve Or Christmas Morning?

Barry M Nail Paint- Bright Red. #10DaysToGo!

10 days to go! Well today i had a bit of fun with photo-shop hence the photo below, you might be seeing more of these!
So i have BarryM Nail Paint - Bright red this is £3.99.
As most people know Barry M are definitely up there in the list of best nail polishes, so i thought this would be a good option for a Christmas nail polish.
I like the consistency of this polish and the brush isn't too thin, but i do prefer thicker brushes.
I do have apply over a couple of coats as it is quite sheer, but that doesn't really bother me.

What is your Christmas nail polish?

MUA Lipstick Shade 8. #11Daystogo!

11 days to go, gosh the excitement is building. Anyway today i have a lovely little Christmas Lipstick for you today.
MUA Lipstick shade 8, it is a sparkly berry red.
For £1, this is an absolute bargain especially if your never going to wear a lipstick like this again other than Christmas.
It is quite a deep berry red as i have mentioned so i would say this went with the lighter skin tones.
As for texture, when you apply on your lips it does feel a bit gritty; the sparkly bits explain that. So what has worked best for me is to put a clear lip-balm on before this Lipstick. Therefore you get a less gritty feeling and a more shiny appearance.
This is a lipstick you will need to re-apply but for £1 this is obviously expected.

It is a rather beautiful colour, so i recommend getting it quickly before they all run out. Which has happened in my local store numerous of times.
What is your Christmas Lipstick?

My Christmas Decorations! #12DaysToGo!

This is the start of my Christmas countdown,  12 days to go (including today) so i thought i would show you my Christmas decorations for this year, as some of you have asked to see them. Also i love having a nosy and seeing what other people have put on their Christmas tree!

So this is my Christmas tree, it is 7ft so fairly big! Some of you may look away in shame when i tell you it is fake because i know you feel it is better to get a real one every year. Anyway moving on swiftly, we have gone with a gold and red theme every year. We must have a colour theme, gosh wouldn't we be lost without a colour theme.
A couple of decorations on my fabulous tree. There are a few mismatch ones on my tree which i cannot live without as i made them when i was very young, so it is like tradition to continue putting them on (i have not shown them here as they are that bad).
This is a decoration i put in my main hall and i love it! It adds such a nice feel with the soft glow of the lights.
The red star on top of my tree, is very old and every year we have a struggle to get it to stay on there as we believe we have a very temperamental tree.
A couple of wooden decorations under the tree which i feel just add to it and make it feel more homely and cosy.
I thoroughly enjoyed writing this post! Watch my blog as a new post will be up tomorrow as well!

12 Days to Christmas Series!

Today i bring exciting news! On this blog i am going to be doing a 12 day countdown to Christmas, with different posts everyday until Christmas day.
I do realise this is mainly a beauty blog, however i though i would switch it up a bit for these 12 days get every one of you really into the Christmas mood.
So my series will consist of tags, beauty (of course), Clothes, Food, Music and some more!

I hope you guys will enjoy this series as much as i have done making it, which has taken quite a bit of work on my half.

Stila Eyeshadow - Kitten

Yet another apology for my rubbish post schedule these 2 weeks, i have been so busy writing my series that i forgot about the present posts! My series comes out on 14.12.13!

This has to be one of the most beautiful eye-shadows I own!
It is from Stila, a relatively new brand to me as it has not been a raved brand. However it is a rather big brand with a lot of products in it. When i bought this eye shadow i was 'hmming and arring' whether to get a palette or the single shadows. I opted for the single shadow's and they are beautiful. It is around £12.50 , if i remember correctly.

This is shade 'Kitten' which is such a gentle name for such a light, sweet shade.
It is a light pink with quite a hefty amount of shimmer in it.
The packaging is beautiful, very sleek and very sturdy.

The colour pay off is great too, it is utterly filled with pigment. The shimmer really give's it the edge to other neutral shades out there as it is so beautiful.
It lasts all day for me without creasing, no primer necessary.

In this review i feel like i have been drooling over this product way too much, although it is much needed and worth it.

Friday 6 December 2013

Max Factor Max Effect Lip-Gloss

A little announcement before i commence with this post and it is that i am going to be doing a 12 days of Christmas (Blogmas). So a 12 day countdown until Christmas, with a different post everyday on a range of topics. I have already mentioned this on my twitter @CrushingOnPink so some of you may know.

Anyway so that is my ramble out the way. Today i am reviewing Max Factor Max Effect Lipgloss in Diva Pink. You can buy these for £4.99 at Boots, which is average price for a Lip Gloss.
The packaging is standard lip-gloss packaging, a squeezy tube. Nothing too special here.
Anyway the product itself is quite sticky, never wear your hair down with this otherwise it will be  hair-lip disaster.
The thing i do like about this is that it has fair amount of pigmentation for a lip-gloss, without being too bold. So if you were going for a day with minimal make-up this could possibly be the lip-gloss to reach for.

Sunday 1 December 2013

Maybelline Colour Tattoo -Pink Gold 65

This is very exciting for me, not only because it is the first of December  (chocolate!) but also because this is my first Maybelline Colour Tattoo.
I got the shade Pink Gold-65 and it was £4.99.
The packaging feels amazing and very hardy, however i wouldn't want to drop it as it is made of glass.
This is a champagne colour with a bit of shimmer, so very spectacular.
The good thing about these it that you don't need to use a brush to apply it, you just spread it over your lid with your finger.
It lived up to what everyone said and stayed on all day! I even went swimming and it was still on. I cannot explain how long lasting it it - its that good. I cannot believe i haven't tried this before, but now I have i will have to hoard some more of them.

November Favourites!

Another month that has whizzed by, still cannot believe it. I know i say it every month and will probably say it for all the months to follow.
However, finally it is here the real Christmas Advent countdown, my advent calender is already awaiting my opening *I have the Cadburys Santa one if you wanted to know*. Also tomorrow i am putting up my Christmas tree, so much excitement already.
Anyway lets end this month on a high with November favourites!
1. Bio Oil 60 ml. This has been great for banishing those stretch marks from ever appearing on my body again.
2. Revlon Lip Butter- Crème Brulee £7.99. A beautiful nude for any look!
3. Proactiv oil free mosituriser £15.95. A lovely moisturiser that really keeps my face look bright even in the coldest of days.
4. Vaseline Rosy Lips Lip Balm. This has been in my life forever, although as winter tis' the season of chapped lips this has been my saviour, while adding colour in my life also.
5. Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for lips and Cheeks in Pale Pink. A delicious shade of pink for winter as i would say it is more of a darker pink.
6. Garnier Body Moisturiser Mango. This has been a staple winter product as the moisturises my legs so much that people actually notice and starting feeling my leg (weird i know). Without this i would feel very sorry for the skin on my legs.

So those are my November favourites, what are yours?

Proactiv Oil Free Moisturiser

Less than 1 month until Christmas. Are you excited or are you excited? As you can tell i am ecstatic about Christmas... I am finally getting down to buying presents, which is pretty good for me considering i am usually a last minute shopper. This year i am going skiing over Christmas, so there is absolutely no time to cram shopping in, i have to be very organised.

On the topic of Christmas and presents etc... i thought this product would fit nicely. This is a moisturiser by Pro-Activ and is £15.95. For me this is quite a pricey and luxurious moisturiser to give someone.

I have used this for the past 2 months and it is safe to say it works well! I have oily skin which can be a disadvantage when it comes to moisturiser however this is oil free. It really moisturises my face which clears up and spots that may be lingering.
Pairing this with another skin care product, or as i like to, put it into a make-up bag with other products!
This would be a lovely little Christmas present for someone, without breaking the bank.

Collection Lock 'n' Hold Lipgloss

Stumbling along in Boots I saw this lip-gloss and thought it was just super cute. I know it's not the most wintery of colours, but i just knew a lot of you will love it! Also it is pink...so how could I resist?
So this is from Collection and it is £2.99
So as i said before this packaging is really cute and feels very smooth and sleek. It has a very flexible doe foot applicator, which is soft.
So this is quite a sheer lip gloss but it will look lovely over lipstick or just on its own!
It is a bit sticky so i only wear this with my hair up, however it does last a good 5-6 hours as it claims.

Sally Hansen Nails: NOFT

In the midst of Winter I see so many dark nail polishes around, and felt a bit left out. So i scavenged through my nail polishes (most of them are pink) and found this beautiful colour from Sally Hansen.
This colour is Chocolate Haute 630, which is such a luscious name for a nail polish.
I can't remember how much i paid for this exactly but i think around £6.99.
This is a brown with quite a powerful red undertone in there. I wore this with a black leather skirt and white collared blouse and it looked lovely with it.

It glides onto your nail and the brush is mice and wide, which is great for those of us who are not amazing at painting nails (me).
To me, this is the perfect colour for winter and i will definitely be wearing a lot of this this season.

Sunday 17 November 2013

MUA eye-shadow Pearl Shade 2

This little eye-shadow caught my eye when i read RasberryKiss's review on it and i was looking for something like this to pop in the corner of my eye. So i mean i had to get it, i had no choice!
I know i have had alot of MUA posts recently but i do have some other ones coming, promise.

This is from MUA and it is £1. Shade 2- Pearl. The packaging is quite good, a bit flimsy yet it did  not break when i dropped it (accidentally).
It is a lovely shiny colour which does not fall out after a long day. It gives you an illusion of bright wide awake eyes!
As you can see here it is a lovely light colour which reflects the light.
Have you tried any of the MUA eye-shadows? Do you like them?

Yankee Candle- Christmas Eve

With all the Christmas celebrations finally coming to life, I decided to start this season off with a seasonal candle. Yankee candles have been a part of my life for quite a while, especially 'Beach Walk' for my bathroom, which smells so fresh and bathroomy. The moment i smelled this i knew this had to be a part of my life.
This is the Yankee Candle- Christmas Eve.
I cannot explain the scent other than Christmas.
It is not too pricey as the one i have below is about £3.50 and the medium sized one is £16.99.

So i thought i would share this absolutely breath-takingly delicious candle with you as i adore it.
What is your favourite Christmas/Winter candle?
