MUA Blush Lolly

Time absolutely flies by, I remember writing a post in the beginning of September.. Gosh!  For me the end of October is where autumn ends and winter really begins, where we all have the craze to wear black and a variety of dark colours. This month has been fabulous for me as I have been on a well needed 1 week holiday to the carrribean (pictures soon) and just been very busy!
For winter I wanted a slightly darker blush shade.. not too bold just something light and pretty for winter. As I am a blogger I had to try out this MUA blush!

It was £1 so I really had nothing to lose if it was awful.
The first time I used it I completely smothered my brush in it, thinking it would not be that pigmented, which resulted in a bright pink streak across my cheeks- not too attractive if you ask me.
It is pigmented and now I just lightly brush my brush over it, making it last even longer.
For the effect I want, which is looking like I don't have any blush on but I do, it is great.
It is a powder so if you do touch your face too much but that is expected.
I would definitely recommend this blush or any in their range - at least to try.

MUA Lipstick Shade 8

Believe it or not i have never owned a MUA lipstick before, so i thought i needed to pick up a couple (more lipsticks coming soon). The first one that caught my eye was this lipstick in Shade 6. You can buy this lipstick at Superdrug for £1.

First of all the packaging is OK, some times when you twist the top the lipstick won't come out but usually it will. It looks very good for such a cheap product, very sleek.
The colour is very strong and pigmented, amazingly pigmented for a £1 lipstick. It applies very nicely not drying at all however i smudges quite easily, so wouldn't recommend eating straight after applying this.
The above picture is a swatch, as you can see it is quite a deep shimmery pink which i think is lovely and would suit a wide range of skin tones.
This is what it looks like on my lips.

Have you tried a MUA lipstick before? What did you think?

Revlon ColourStay Foundation

This little product was from a recent Boots browse, you honestly must think i shop no where else... however i have ordered a couple things from Superdrug this week. Anyway i originally ordered the No7 Matte foundation but this came in the post, so i thought i would try it anyway.

I was pleasantly surprised, as with most (basically all) of the products i have reviewed on this blog has been mentioned by some other bloggers, where-as this has been mentioned by everyone. Even my friends, which is some sort of revelation as they never want to talk about make-up.

This is the Revlon Colour- Stay foundation in shade Buff 150, it is usually £12.49 from Boots. There are two versions of this, i have got the oilier skin type version.

To start with the packaging is OK, however i hate how there is no pump! I end up pouring out too much on to my hand (as i am awful with measurements) and wasting it!
The foundation itself is lovely, it is very smooth and looks flawless on the face. I have found the best way to apply it is with a brush (Real Techniques expert face brush).
Throughout the day it seems to wear very well, however if you do have one or two spots i recommend wearing a concealer as-well because they will start to show nearing the end of the day.
I do wear concealer under my eye as it will not cover those, however my under eye circles are very dark so i would not hold it against this foundation.
The oil control is better than most foundations, though i did need to apply powder to my face.
Overall this is a lovely foundation, it didn't break me out and makes me look lovely in pictures! What more can i ask for?
This is a definite recommendation from me!

Natural Collection Duo Eye-shadow Mink&Sable

This had to be one of the first eye shadows that I have ever bought, which is crazy! As it is from the Boots brand Natural Collection which is a cheaper brand. It is £1.99 from Boots.
It is a very natural duo shadow, a darker colour for the crease as well.

The Mink (lighter) colour is good, covers my slightly red lids well but doesn't last for a full day. If their is any fall down i can not tell as it is so light. Also it doesn't crease, which is amazing for such a cheap shadow!

These are very heavy swatched, as you can see the dark one does not show up very dark at all.

Light Swatch

Is there a cheap eyeshadow which you find great?

September Favourites!

The month of Halloween is upon us, time to pull out your scary masks and candy! Though through September i have been using a lot of products (collecting for an empties post) and these are my select favourites. This month has been really getting myself back into a work and skin routine, which i have mainly kept to this whole month, pretty pleased if i say so myself.
The first is the Vivo bronze me up palette is definitely a favourite this month as i have been using it quite a bit. Especially the high lighter colour on the left. I would like maybe to get a couple more palettes from this range as the pigment is very good as far as i have tried.
This Clean&Clear daily scrub has been a skin saviour this month for me, as i have had literally nearly zero breakouts! I use this everyday in the shower also with a face wash. The things that i like about this is that it is oil free and it has soft bits in - not too harsh on the skin.
The real techniques expert face brush is just amazing! I can imagine this being in every favourites for years, as it blends the foundation out perfectly so you have a flawless finish.
Another skin item i have been loving this month is the Witch Blemish stick, which i have used ever since i was around 12. It is designed for oily skin, but  meant to be gentle on the skin. This has been amazing for me whenever i have breakouts.
Finally but not surprising is my Revlon Lip Butter in Macaroon which is just a phenomenal lip colour for Autumn/Winter so you might be seeing more of this! Full review and better pictures here.

Those are all my September favourites! What are yours?

Seventeen Phwoar Paint

Sorry my regular Wednesday post was not up this week, i was overwhelmed with work i had to get done. However i promise to post at least 2 posts a week.

In the 'beauty blogger world' this has been reviewed by a couple of bloggers, but not too many as it is still fairly new. It retails at £5.49 from Boots.
My under-eye's are very dark and have been on the hunt for a good concealer to cover them up without a problem. This concealer feels very thick and smooth to the touch. However when i apply it to my eyes without moisturising it clings to the dry patches and looks absolutely awful.
After applying moisturiser it did seem to work a great deal better, nonetheless it creased under my eye after a full day wear. It does last a full day with some creasing here and there.
The shade range of this product is 'ok', there are only 3 shades at the moment- fair, medium  and dark. Medium seemed way too dark for me so i purchased fair-- which is a little to light for me. I would definitely like a better shade range on this product.
I will continue to use this product as it is overall very good, i am still unsure whether i would repurchase it or not yet.
